Most of the text on your store — like product names, descriptions, and checkout labels — can be edited directly in Webflow or CartGenie. But some system-generated text, such as error messages and order confirmation emails, comes from a default language setting.
To change the language used for this non-editable text, head to your Settings > Business Info:
Set My Store’s LanguageHere you’ll see an option called “Language for Non-Editable Text. By default it is English (US), but you can set it to any of our currently supported languages.
This setting controls:
The language of system error messages in store pages (e.g. “Invalid credit card” at checkout)
The language of non-editable text in automated order emails (like the date in “Order Confirmed” emails)
It does not control:
Any text that is editable in Webflow or CartGenie (such as field labels, product names & descriptions, etc.)

Here is an example of an order confirmed email. The editable text (such as the headline, the product name and variant, address etc.) were written in English by the shop. But the non-editable information such as date, section titles, etc. are all in Japanese.
