Google Address Autocomplete at Checkout

Google Address Autocomplete is enabled by default for all stores. When a customer begins typing into an address field at checkout, Google may show suggested addresses that match what they are entering.

The autocomplete suggestions inherit the same styling as your checkout address fields (background color and font), so they fit naturally into the checkout experience without requiring additional setup.

Google Address Autocomplete is available globally, with address coverage and suggestion quality varying by country and region based on Google Maps Platform coverage.

Do customers have to select a suggested address?

No, customers are not required to select a suggested address. They can manually enter any value into any address field, even if it does not match a Google autocomplete result.

Address Validation

If a customer selects one of the suggested addresses, the address will be marked as a verified address in the CartGenie order dashboard. This can help improve address accuracy and reduce potential fulfillment or shipping issues.
