Yes! A customer can place a free $0 order in either of these situations:
The product is priced at $0.
A coupon or discount reduces the full order total to $0.
The customer can complete checkout without entering credit card or other payment information.
For a $0 order, CartGenie collects the personal information needed to create the order. If the item requires shipping, it also collects the customer’s shipping information.
Because the total is $0, no credit card or payment method is requested or stored.
If inventory tracking is enabled for the product, available inventory is still reduced by the quantity purchased—even when the order total is $0. This helps ensure free items and fully discounted orders remain accurately reflected in your inventory.
$0 purchases are not supported for subscription products. Since no payment information is collected for a $0 order, CartGenie cannot charge the customer for future subscription renewals.
