The test orders feature in CartGenie allows you to test out your store without having to pay for your purchases. This can be useful to ensure everything is working properly on your site.
Enable Test Orders
You can enable test orders in the Settings > Payment Gateway tab in CartGenie.
Be sure to disable Test Orders once you are ready to go live. Otherwise, customers’ payments will not be processed with their order.
How to Place a Test Order
To place a test order (once the option is enabled) you simply:
Go to your website, add an item to the cart, go to checkout, enter your contact and shipping information, and use the following for payment details:
Successful Payment Method
Card Number: 4242 4242 4242 4242
Expiration: Use a valid future date (such as 12/30) - it can’t be too far in the future
CVV: Any three-digit number
Failed Payment Method
Using either of the following should show an error:
Card Number: 1313 1313 1313 1313
Expiration: Use a past date
