A “Subscribe and Save” option lets your customers purchase products on a recurring basis (such as weekly, monthly, or yearly) at a discounted price. This is a powerful way to build customer loyalty, create predictable revenue, and encourage repeat purchases without customers needing to manually reorder.
In this guide, we’ll walk through how to set up a subscription plan for your product, configure delivery intervals, and apply discounts so customers see the benefit of subscribing instead of making a one-time purchase.
The best way to offer this option within the same product is to create it as a variant option set.
Go into your CartGenie products and click into the product you want to add the subscribe and save option to.
Go to My ProductsGo to the Variants tab and create a new Option set.
Name it something like “Subscribe and Save” or “Order Frequency” - something to make it obvious to your customers.
Add option values for each frequency you want to offer.
Then, go into each variant and edit the Billing Method to match (“One-Time” or “Subscription”).
Set the Billing Interval for each subscription to match your variant name and change the price if you want to offer a discount for subscribing.
Then save your variant and publish your product (if you haven’t already).
Go to your live product page and you should now see the Subscribe and Save drop down for customers to choose from before adding to cart!
