CartGenie gives you flexible control over who can access and manage your store. Every workspace has two role types – Owner and Member – and you can customize each person’s permissions so your team has exactly the access they need (and nothing they don’t).
This guide walks through how roles work, what each permission does, and how to tailor them to your team’s workflow.
Team Roles

Owner
The owner role is given to the person who creates the store initially, but ownership can be transferred to a member by the owner.
The owner has full unrestricted permissions over the entire account. They can access all pages, make edits, add new & remove team members, and delete the store.
Only the owner can delete a store
Member
The member role is given to any additional team members invited by the owner or another team member.
Members by default have full access to all pages and settings, but this can be customized for each member (see permissions below)
Members can invite / remove other members but cannot remove the owner.
Permissions
Permissions are used to customize each member’s capabilities on an individual store. This can be set specifically for each member on each store.

For each page, you can choose between 3 permission settings:
Full Access
This grants the member view & edit access for the given page. They can make any changes on the page that the owner can.
Orders: fulfill & unfulfill orders, issue refunds, edit customer info
Products: create, edit, delete
Discounts: create, edit, delete
Subscriptions: pause, cancel
Settings: Edit access to all settings: business info, payment gateways, shipping, taxes, communications, team, webflow settings, plan & payment, webhooks, & integrations
This also grants the member view & edit access to the Setup Guide page.
View Only
This grants the member a read-only access for the given page.
Important buttons are not displayed and text inputs and dropdowns are greyed out so they cannot be edited by the member
Example: Can view but not edit orders, products, discounts, subscriptions, customers, all settings. They will not have any access to the Setup Guide page.

None
This restricts the member from even seeing the given page
If they try to go to the direct URL for the page, they will be redirected to the dashboard
