If you’ve updated a product in Webflow but don’t see those changes reflected in CartGenie, this can happen for a few different reasons – such as unpublished changes or Webflow’s API limitations.
In this guide, we’ll walk through the most common causes of product sync issues and show you how to quickly get your Webflow changes showing correctly in CartGenie.
Due to Webflow’s API limitations, there is some information that can’t be synced from Webflow → CartGenie. This is especially true when it comes to product variants.
To fix this:
All information updated in CartGenie gets automatically synced to your Webflow CMS as soon as it is saved as draft or published in our platform so this ensures nothing gets lost.
If you’ve made a change to your product CMS item in Webflow, but haven’t published the change in Webflow, then CartGenie will not receive the draft update.
To fix this: Please republish the item in Webflow or make the change in CartGenie directly.
CartGenie is always listening for webhooks from Webflow for updates to your products.
Similarly, when you update a product in CartGenie, we send the new information to Webflow to update it in their CMS. Once Webflow updates the CMS item, Webflow sends a webhook back with that new change. To prevent the two apps from getting caught in a loop, we ignore any webhook from Webflow for product updates that are sent within 1 minute of us sending an update to WF.
So, if you make a change to a product in Webflow within 1 minute of updating a product in CartGenie, we may ignore the webhook from Webflow.
To fix this: Wait a minute and then republish your Webflow product or make the change in CartGenie.
