File custom field - size and format restrictions

You can add downloadable files to your products by going to CartGenie Product Settings and adding a File field there. This lets you include PDFs, images, documents, and more—so customers can download them directly from your product pages with a single click or tap.

Common Uses

• Add product manuals, setup guides, or spec sheets as downloadable PDFs

• Include ingredient lists or care instructions for physical goods

• Provide downloadable size charts, warranty information, or certification docs

• Attach category-level brochures or product line overviews for easy access

How to Add a File Field

1. Go to your CartGenie Product Settings

2. Click Add New Field, then choose File

3. Save your changes

4. Open the CartGenie product that you want to add a file to. Go to the “Additional Fields” tab and add it in the file field

File Size and Type Restrictions

The file field supports the following image file types (max file size is 4 MB): 

• PNG 

• JPEG / JPG 

• GIF 

• BMP 

• SVG

• WebP

You can also upload six types of documents (max file size is 10 MB): 

• PDF

• DOC / DOCX 

• XLS / XLSX

• PPT / PPTX 

• TXT 

• CSV

• ODT

• ODS

• ODP
